It's been almost six years since I updated my web site's design. It did what it needed to do, and it didn't
need to do anything flashy. It still doesn't need to do anything flashy. But I've learned a few better
ways to do some of the things I was doing before. I put a lot of it to use on
my employer's web site which is now powered by a much more
sophisticated web package than I could ever create. My version of the site was fun while it lasted.
While I'm figuring out how to arrange stuff, I'll give you a list of the links to other sections of my site.
- Aurora borealis (northern lights) pictures I took with a film camera
on November 7, 2004
- The Koshko Family History site for descendants of Andrew and Julia Koshko of
Clarence, Pennsylvania.
- Almanako.com, my astronomical almanac
- Shortwave radio info
- The calendar section
- Esperanto info in English. Jes, mi ankoraŭ parolas Esperanton, tamen
ne tiom multe kiom iame. This section is actually in English and explains why I got into the language. I
once got a suggestion that I should take down my English pages about Esperanto because the world doesn't
need another such set of pages. The writer failed to persuade me that Esperanto is suffering from an
overabundance of publicity. I can say from my own experience though, there's a strong anti-English
sentiment among many Esperanto speakers. I think those Esperantists envision an English versus Esperanto
battle from which the Esperantists emerge victorious. Then, the English speakers would have to learn
Esperanto anyway. So why wait and why have the battle? And so my pages are staying.
I'm thinking about doing a tutorial on sound recording and reproduction and how radio works.
