WCMY is heard on Mediacom Cable channel 19 in Ottawa and the surrounding areas most of the time. The broadcast sounds accompany the paid advertising local businesses and cable viewers put on the screen. However, there are times when you cannot hear WCMY by tuning to the cable channel. Several times a week for one to two hours at a time, local church services and the most recent Ottawa City Council meeting are shown instead of the advertising with WCMY sound. There are also times when, for whatever reason, the cable company fails to capture the WCMY signal and put it on channel 19. For best results, listen to AM 1430 on your radio. If you can hear WCMY on the radio, but have no sound on channel 19, it's definitely NOT the radio station's problem.
